In 1977 Mary began receiving physical, occupational and speech therapy from Easterseals Central Illinois. Within two years she became an Easterseals Ambassador, and has been a champion for the organization ever since.
Mary’s dedication to raising awareness and funds for Easterseals is as much a part of her personality as her infectious smile and positive attitude. Her coworkers at Snyder Village have also noted her strong work ethic and positive impact on people around her. Mary is entering her 26th year of working for Snyder Village as a dietary aide. Mary is a proud resident of Metamora, where she moved into her own apartment in 2001.
In addition to her successful career, Mary has been an Easterseals VIP fundraiser since 2006, working her social media pages and personal network for support and consistently raising thousands of dollars each year. Mary sets a great example of giving back, in appreciation of the services she received as a child. Since becoming an Easterseals VIP telethon fundraiser, Mary has raised an astounding $37,682. She has set a goal of raising $4,000 for the Easterseals Telethon in 2020.
